[Risk No. 43]My friend and I attended this youth gathering called “Bay Fusion.” Basically it’s gathering for all college and young adult age Christians from all different churches in the bay area that meets every 2nd Friday of the month. It was my 2nd time going. I figured why not go, I’m always down for youth gatherings anyways. I love listening to different speakers and meeting different people.
So what the night looks like is this. You show up, and then you meet some folks. And then you moved to worship in music and then message and then worship again and then food. It’s really basic but still awesome.
After dinner I approached this one gal who is going on a missions trip and we just started chatting about her trip. She started asking me about what I do. For some reason I mentioned about my blog. I guess coz she mentioned she has a blog too. Anyways, I told her how God’s really using me in the gifts of healing.
She seemed so interested about it and asked more about my life. And out of the blue I randomly asked this lady next to her, (Wasn’t sure if she was a good friend of hers or a relative) and said, “Do you have any pain in your body?” And guess what, she did. She said there’s this ‘Knot’ on her back almost like near her shoulders. I said, “this is great. Let me pray for you. That’s going to be gone tonight.”
So we prayed. Commanded the knot to straighten out and the muscles to loosen up and for her back to be healed. As always, Jesus answered us and healed her. I asked her to check her back. She said she doesn’t feel any more pain, and no more ‘knot’ and she felt warm on her back. She was so thankful especially now that she doesn’t have to go to the massage therapist. That will save her a lot of money!
I always get so excited every-time I see people get healed even if it’s just a small thing. But there’s really no such thing as small when it comes to God. Jesus compared the kingdom of God as small as a seed. God’s Kingdom is different from any other ‘kingdom’. His Kingdom starts off small and then it expands, it grows, it’s unshakeable and it’s unstoppable. That’s the Kingdom of God.
Father I thank you for what seem to me like ‘insignificant’ but in your eyes, they are significant. Continue to teach me to be humble and to not cease praying for people whether it’s a big or small opportunity. Everything and everyone matters, small or great, you love them and you desire them to know you even more. Thank you Father.
