[RISK No. 65]

After church I woman approached me and asked me if I can pray for her and I did. After praying for her we just kinda started talking about her life and other stuff. I begin to scan my eyes around the room and found 3 older women sitting on the other side of the room. God gave me a ‘Word of Knowledge’ about those 3 women. I got the word ‘Pain’. As soon as I got this, I excused myself from the woman that I was talking to and I told her I need to go and pray with those ladies. 

I approached them and I said, “Hey, I was standing over there talking with another woman when God gave me a ‘Word of Knowledge’ about you ladies. Either all of you, or someone here is in some sort of ‘pain’. Sure enough Susan has knee problems, Linda has hypertension, and Rose is going through some painful stuff with her family. 

I prayed for them individually for all their needs. For Susan and Linda, I prayed physical healing over their bodies and for Rose, I prayed emotional healing over her heart. All 3 of them were encouraged and God is magnified through that. Sometimes we don’t need to look further to find opportunities to love on people. A lot of times God will highlight people within our reach whom He wants us to minister to, all we need to do is ask him, listen to him, and obey him. Be willing and be ready to love others when He highlights people to us.

Lord, thank you for increasing my faith in you. Thank you for giving me the boldness to always ask them and confirm the ‘Word of Knowledge’ that you’ve allowed me to operate. Holy Spirit, thank you for the gifts that you’ve allowed to operate in my life. I pray and ask for more! For the glory of the Father and the Son and for the benefit of all peoples and for the joy of my heart. In Jesus name, Amen! 

[RISK NO. 64]

Before band practice, I had a quick chat with our piano/vocalist player Sarah. We were just talking about random stuff. I asked how she’s doing and all that. I love when people ‘complain’ about their pain in their body. Why? because it gives me the opportunity to pray for them and to encourage them to do the same things that I’m doing. 

She mentioned that her neck was really stiff and that there’s just a lof of tensions going on. So I asked, “Can I pray for your Neck? Trust me it’ll be gone right away!” Without hesitation she responded with a quick “YES!”. So I leaned over, laid my hands on her neck and it took me at least 5 secs to pray and commanded the muscles to loosen up and for the tensions to be released and for the neck to be relaxed. After praying I asked if she feels any better. And she said, “I actually do! I felt immediate release of tensions, my neck is completely relaxed! I felt tingling too! Thank you so much!” And I always say, “It’s not me, it’s Jesus!”

She told me that she’s heard stories from people about what God’s doing in my life and the whole healing thing! I had the opportunity to encourage her to walk in that same boldness because really, it’s not ‘me’ who’s doing the miracle work but It’s Christ in me! 

Jesus thank you for sweet and simple act of grace through healing. Thank you for allowing me to minister to my friend Sarah tonight even in the smallest and simplest way but yet made a huge impact on her faith. I pray that you just continue to stir in her heart that desire to see others come to know you and that you would increase her faith in you daily. In your name Jesus I pray, Amen!

[Risk No. 60-62]

I don’t know exactly how to to begin this post. But lately God has just been moving in my life so swiftly and he’s just been using me in so many crazy ways! He’s teaching me a lot about Gifts I’ve just been walking in the other Gifts of the Spirit!

[Risk No. 60] - Today I went to my buddy’s school and I had the opportunity to sit in one of his classes called ‘Christian apologetics.’ The professor/pastor’s name’s Joey. He was really nice and very smart. Towards the end of the class God gave me this word about him and his current ‘lovelife.’

This was new to me since I don’t really operate much on the gift of Word of Knowledge or give a prophetic word, but today I guess you could say, God unlocked those gifts! Even though I had the word I was still a lil bit nervous if I should tell him but God kept telling me to ‘Go!’ After class I went up to him and said, ‘Hey Joey, I really enjoyed your class. I learned a lot. I have to tell you something. God gave me a word about you and he told me to encourage you by saying you should just trust him and don’t worry because he is preparing her for you. Did that made any sense to you?” and he responds by saying, “Actually it does. I’m dating this girl for 3 years now and I plan on marrying this girl but not sure if I should because I have doubts. But because of what the Lord has shown you, I’m receiving it all with grace. So thank you!” I was so happy and prayed for him, blessed him and just encouraged him!

[Risk No. 61] - I went to the bank today to make a quick deposit. Sandy saw me walked in and asked me if I needed help and I told her that I just wanna make a quick deposit. She gladly led me to her window and helped me. I handed the money and when I looked at her I heard in my heart that she suffers from having daily migraines. When she gave me my receipt I quickly asked, “Hey this is random but do you have migraine?’ “actually I do! How’d you know!?” I said, “I just guessed.” That was Word of Knowledge right there! And then I told her I know how to make it go away. I asked for her hand and she simply slipped it under the window and I began to pray and commanded the migraine to leave and never come back!” after praying I asked if she feels any better.” Actually, Yeah! it’s so weird! Thank you!” I blessed her and went on my way.

[Risk No. 62] - After depositing money, I went to the post office to drop off something. When I got there I saw this man with a cane and he was walking like he was in such pain. I couldn’t help but notice him and had this burning desire to pray for him. I wasn’t even done with my business at the post office but I had to go up to him and asked about his back and knees. Sure enough he said he has a spine injury and which causes his right leg to lose all the strength. I offered prayer and he immediately reached out his hand. I prayed and asked Jesus to heal his whole entire back and right leg. After praying I said, “Thanks for letting me pray for you, I hope you feel better when you get home.” I didn’t think that there was ‘something’ that’s going to happen, but to my surprise he responded. “Actually, I do feel a lot better, I felt heat and warmth flow through my right leg! Thank you!”

God is ever so faithful. I’ve been doing this for a little over a month now and yet I still have doubts. Sometimes we get so caught up with ‘Lord if it’s your will, heal this person.” God wants to heal. He desires for everyone to be reconciled back to Him whether through physical healing. emotional healing or spiritual healing. everything is possible with God!

Father forgive me. Thank you for opening and ‘activating’ the other gifts in my life. I ask that you continue to give me this radical obedience to walk out these gifts you’ve give me. in Jesus name!

[RISK NO.58-59]

One of the things that I love about being a Worship Director is the opportunity to build, train and disciple other upcoming and aspiring worship leaders.

Tonight I had the opportunity to visit one of the guys I disciple and when I got to his house, his dad was there and along with his dad’s friend. I said hi to them and then Matt and I proceeded to work on songs and talking more about disciplines about worship.

After we got done, Matt and I went back upstairs where his dad and his friend were sitting and talking. I was ready to say goodbye when Matt’s dad said, “hey, before you leave, lets round up in prayer!”So we all round up in prayer and as everyone was praying I just felt the Lord say,”someone is in pain, ask them after praying.” 

After praying, I asked if there’s anyone of them who’s in pain. Well, Matt’s dad wasn’t, his friend wasn’t, but Matt was. He was sore from baseball practice. I love people’s reaction whenever I say, “Do you want that to be gone? Can I pray for you?” They look at me with such surprise. I’m not talking about just Matt, but I’m talking about Christian specifically. Coz a lot of times our understanding of prayer for healing is like, “Lord if it’s your will” kinda prayer. But no, what I’m saying is, “I wanna pray for you right now to be healed.” and that is something you don’t hear in american churches. 

So I prayed for his left body side because it was sore. And commanded the pain to leave and it did. He was so surprised! Matt’s dad and his friend were surprised too! And then his dad mentioned that his uncle had a stroke and is actually in pain. So we called him up, prayed for him over the phone and he felt so much better. He was able to move his right side with less pain and less stiffness! 

Lord thank you for your sweet and powerful little whispers. Thank you for giving me the boldness to go forth and obey your command. Jesus I ask you that you bring an increase in Matt, his dad and his friend about what happened today and may you continue to stir a desire in their hearts to seek you with everything that they have! 

[RISK No.57]

Peter was re-telling the story to everyone about how he fell down the stairs this morning and hurt his shoulder. But tonight that changed because I prayed for his shoulder and asked Jesus to heal it, after praying his shoulder’s completely healed and went back to normal!

Jesus doesn’t hold back from releasing his love, goodness and power! Even to children he wants them to come to him because the kingdom belongs to them! And tonight this kid, the kingdom of God had come upon him through healing! C’MON!!!! Jesus thank youuu!!!! 

[RISK No. 56]

I saw David walking back and forth holding a sign that says “Need Food. God love” just outside the 99 cents store parking lot. I thought “well let me buy him some food and then I can go and buy what I need from the store. I approached him and said, “let me buy you some food is a sandwich okay?” With a huge smile he said ,”yes!”

As we were walking towards subway, I noticed that he’s limping which caused him to walk so slow. - We got to the store And got him his sandwich I asked if his back or legs were in pain. Turns out it was. I offered to pray and he was so excited because he believes in God and prayer. So I prayed and commanded for his back, legs and knees to be healed. After praying he felt so much better and he felt all the pain start to diminish.

 We kept talking and I found out that he’s a believer too and loves Jesus! So awesome. I think we might have talked for an hour. But before i said goodbye I asked for his back and legs just to check if he was still in pain and he said “i feel a lil bit of pain in my back. My hips aren’t aligned that’s why I’m walking this way. And then the Holy Spirit gave me this impression that one of his legs are shorter and I need to command for it to grow and align with the other.

I said David one of your legs is shorter and the other is longer lets find a chair and have you sit down and I’m gonna ask Jesus to grow your short leg and aligned it with the other. He sat on a chair. Lift his legs up and sure enough left leg is shorter. I began to praying and commanded the leg to grow and to my amazement the leg grew and David felt it too! I asked him to stand and walk around and he said “my back feels way even better this time! And my legs are feeling so much better! Wow! Thank you!” We both rejoiced and praised God! He was so thankful how God restored his back and legs. 

My friends, our God doesn’t show any partiality. small or great, young or old, rich or poor, it doesn’t matter. They are His children and He wants them all to be reconciled back to Him through meeting their physical or spiritual needs. It’s all about seeing people through the Father’s eyes and not yours. 

Jesus, thank you for using someone like me to show love to others. Even though I feel so small and faithless, you never fail to show and display your power. It’s true when you said that ‘..even greater things you’ll be doing because I’m going to The Father!” I take hold of that because thats a trustworthy promise from you! Continue to use me, grow me and empower me to live a life worthy to be called your servant, disciple, and friend. :) 

[Risk No. 55]

You guys, this is Lauren! We were just chattin’ earlier when she mentioned that her stomach was just in so much pain. So I told her “do you want the pain to go away?!” And she was so excited to answer me with “yes!”

So we went and sat outside the church and I prayed and asked Jesus to heal her. And he did! She felt so much better after! So we kept talking and found out that she was so encouraged by the things that God’s doing in my life and how I post my encounters with people here on insta and Facebook.

I learned that she desires so much to be used by God in whatever capacity she can. Even though she has this doubts, she wants to live a life full of purpose, joy and power. So we began praying and I just prayed that God would anoint her and fill her with such power through the Holy Spirit!

My friends, all that being said, a new world changer was born today. Be on a look out for her coz she’s gonna shake this city! 

P.s - I asked her about the pain and she said “it’s like gone!” 

if God’s using you in crazy ways, share that to someone! Encourage others! You never know how much impact that can cause to someone who’s watching you! The King that we represent is contagious and He can’t be contain so proclaim the goodness and the power of Jesus! 

Joe’s a regular attendee at my church. I’ve met him a few months ago. He’s this sweetest old man with a huge smile on his face even though he’s struggling in life. Today I bumped into him again and we started talking and just catch up on each others life. 

My heart goes after Joe. Him and his wife are going through a rough season. Financially, emotionally and physically. I have nothing to offer but prayer. So I asked Joe how’s his health doing these days. He mentioned that his back, thighs, legs, and ankle are slightly in pain. And that’s it. I don’t have anything to give, not even nice, plausible words, but what I do have is Christ Jesus. 

So I said, “Joe, let me pray for you and command all the pain in your body to leave. It’s gonna go away today and right now. You ready?” He said, “let’s do it!” We began to pray and I commanded every single one of his pain to be healed and be completely whole in the name of Jesus. After praying he told me that he felt so much better! I asked him to stand and to check and he said, “Wow. I really feel so much better. I feel like a new person! I feel so light!” 

He then proceeded to tell me that these past few days he was starting to loose faith in God, but after I prayed for him and for his healing, it’s undeniable, “God is real and he loves me!” So i blessed him, encouraged him and told him that God loves him so much and he is so real So real that He just healed him! 

In the words of Peter, 

“I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” - Acts 3:6

Don’t underestimate the power of prayer! We may not have all the riches in the world to meet someones need in finances but we have Jesus. We may not have all the words together to encourage someone, but we have Jesus. The power of Jesus is enough and sufficient for anyone who’s longing to see and experience him we just need to be that vessel ready to step up and show Jesus to them! 

After leading worship for 1st service I went to our Cafe and I happen to notice Ms. Erin, (she’s on our staff at my church) touching her head and God gave me this impression that she’s having a massive headache. So I went and approach her and said hi and asked how she’s feeling. Turns out that she has a massive headache and her right eye is in some sort of pain. I said, “let me pray for you. That will go away instantly.” she responds back with, “Yes, please do!”

It happened so fast. I prayed and simply commanded healing to take place over her head and right eye and after praying I asked if she felt any difference. “It’s actually gone. Like, nothing! thank you so much!” she didn’t seem surprised! I guess she expected that she’s gonna get healed right away. Not because of me, but because of Jesus!

I love when the Holy Spirit just leads me into those kinda situations. It’s like a ‘drive-by’ opportunity just presents itself and BAM! I just went for it. Jesus thank you for giving me opportunities like this. I want more. For your name sake and glory!

One of the reasons why I love doing my devotions in public places is because people can see that I’m reading the bible. Either another Christian would approach me and say something like, “That’s sure is a great book brother!” or if it’s a non-christian they usually say something like, “What you reading?” they know it’s a bible but what they really mean is, “Why are you reading that? you believe that stuff”? which I don’t really mind. I love engaging with people!

David sat next to me and we started talking about religion and all different kinds of faith. He’s one of those ‘coexist’ people who believed that all religions point to the same God. I wasn’t gonna debate with him or prove that Jesus is the only way to God, but I did say that Christianity is different from all ‘religions’ because God came down to us, instead of us working our way up to God. 

I got a word of knowledge from God that David had a back and knee pain. While we were still talking, I politely asked if he had any pain on his back or knee, turns out he did have pains on both. He was puzzled how I knew about it. I simply said, “God told me.” This time he looked terrified. ha!

I said, “You want the pain to go away? Let me pray for you.” He didn’t want it at first but I told him that it won’t be that long. I told him to give me 3secs. Just 3 secs of his time and that’s it. He agreed. I prayed, rebuked the pain on both back and knees. I asked him to check it out and he said he felt better and then he goes, “Well, the pain is sporadic. Comes and goes.” But I told him that God is healing him already. Even though David was in denial of the healing that took place on his back and knees I blessed him and told him that God loves him.

A lot of times we try to win an argument or debate against a non-believer through eloquent words or stacked up biblical knowledge. I think there’s a place and time for that but hear what Apostle Paul had to say about this:

I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.^[a] 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. ³ I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. ⁴ My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, ⁵ so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. - 1 Corinthians 2

What if we actually just talk, walk and live like how Jesus lived, I think that’s more effective than actually just doing the whole ‘talking’ I’m not disregarding biblical knowledge and wisdom but what I’m arguing is that Jesus was all about words followed with actions. So let’s be like Jesus and not settle for mere Christianity. 

[Risk No. 51]

I saw this documentary movie called ‘Father of Lights’ and in that movie the director’s vision was to feature different Christians and capture their life as far as how they follow God and live a life full of the Spirit.

There was this guy in that movie named, “Todd White” he’s probably the coolest street healer/evangelist I’ve ever seen. His mission is to show love and power and he’s doing it through healings, signs, and wonders. There was moment in that movie when he prayed for this one old man who had a shorter leg and commanded that leg to grow and align with the other. I was so amazed and I thought, ‘man, one day, God will give me an opportunity to do that too.’ 

My friends, let me tell you, that day came. Meet my friend Nellie. She’s an awesome woman of God. Super on-fire for Jesus and has a huge heart for young women. She’s pretty much the coolest female evangelist you’ll ever meet. Few days ago, she texted me and said, ‘Pray for me, my legs are hurting and my ankle. I think one of my legs are shorter coz I was leaning on my other leg.’ As soon as I saw that, I knew what I needed to do. 

This was kinda challenging because I wasn’t physically there to pray for her, instead I had her mom assist us in this process of healing. I called her up and instructed her to sit on a chair with her back straight against the chair and have her mom lift her legs straight out so she can see the growth. I told her to put me on speaker so they can both hear me pray. 

“Are you ready to see this grow?” I asked. “Yes! I’m excited let’s do this!” she replied. To be honest, I was really nervous. I’ve never done this before and not even over the phone so this was really an experiment! So I began praying and commanded the right leg to grow. “In Jesus name, right leg, I speak to you and I command you to grow out right now!” I said this a couple time and I asked them both if they noticed anything or if she felt anything. Next thing I know I hear them giggling and say, “oh my goodness. This is amazing! My leg grew!’ 

Long story short, her right leg grew, and as far as for the remaining pains, I simply commanded the pain to leave and it did. Man, this was such a huge step of faith of me to do. Both of our faith increased that day. It was a win win situation. Our hearts rejoiced. We praised God and Jesus was magnified. At the end, that’s all that matters. :)

[Risk No.47-50] 

Somehow Sunday is like the biggest day that the Lord chooses to use me to do healings. 2 of my friends had a back problem and I simply prayed over their back and commanded healing to take place and it happened just like a snap of a finger!

Another friend of mine had a sore throat and stuffy nose. Same thing, I prayed for her and commanded the sickness and soreness to leave her body and after praying she tried to swallow and her eyes got big, that means the soreness and the stuffyness, GONE! 

And the last one, my friend had a broken wrist. I prayed for her 3 times but she never received. It’s not her fault, it’s on my end. I think because this time I was faced with a bigger ‘condition’ it’s a broken bone. When I saw her wrist my intellectual overpower my faith and that got in the way. But she was grateful for what I did. 

Lord Jesus, I thank you for the many victories you’ve given me in the area of healing and miracles. I pray and ask that you strengthen my faith even more and that my faith would grow past the size of a mustard seed so that not only I can move a mountain, but maybe in the future, I can move myself outta the equation quickly. Thank you for loving me and being patient with me Jesus.

[Risk No. 46] 

Meet Tom, he’s one of your drummers here @3crosses church. During band practice he mentioned about his shoulder injury (Rotator Cuff) and that they were hurting. He injured it 8 years ago and couldn’t do much movement. But guess what, Jesus is stronger than any physical pains. 

I prayed, thanked the Father and commanded healing to take place on Tom’s shoulder and now he was able to do movement he couldn’t do 8 years ago. We both rejoiced and praised God and when his wife came he shared what happened, she was just in shocked. ha! 

Goodbye shoulder injury, hello shoulders and Praise Jesus! :)

For the past 3 days all I’ve been doing is pack, move and unpack stuff from our old house into our new house. I’m not complaining I’m just saying, It’s not my favorite thing. But moving to a new home is quite exciting. Moving into a neighborhood and finding out new places and meeting new people, now that’s my favorite part about moving. Not the packing and unpacking part. 

There’s this organice coffee and tea literally across my house. So I decided to check out and see what the places was like. The second I walked in I knew it’s going to be my new ‘spot’. The owner was so nice. The place is so homey. Everything about the coffee was just so relaxing. I’m a huge small business supporter. I mean, I like startbucks and all that but nothing beats a family owned organice coffee and tea. 

I sat down to one of the tables by the entrance and few minutes later another older lady sat next to me. I tried to make conversations and just asked how she’s doing. From that small question our conversation just took off. I learned a lot about Deborah and what she does for a living. She told me about her daughter and their relationship. I encouraged her that God sees her as this amazing mom and that her daughter looks up to her so much. I prayed for her, blessed her and just made sure that she is aware of the fact that Jesus loves her so much. She was so happy and felt so encouraged. We both knew that we are going to see each other again soon. 

Jesus, thank you for sweet encounters just like what I had today with Deborah. I’m so excited as to how you’re gonna use me to speak life, speak truth, and bring her to you. I pray that you create more opportunities for me to share your light and love to my neighbors. In Your name I pray, Amen!
