You know what’s the best way to increase your confidence and boldness in approaching someone for prayer, start with your friends or family.
Back-story: Last Tuesday night after our college bible study, my friend Melinda made her rounds to say goodbye to everyone. When she got to me I noticed that her right knee had some sort of like soft strapped braces. I asked what happened and she said she thinks her ligaments are torn and she couldn’t walk properly and she’s going to the doctor to possibly get a surgery. So I said let’s pray for that pain to go away. I gathered couple guys and I laid my hand on Melinda’s knee and while the guys laid their hands on me.
After we prayed for her knee to be healed, I asked her to slowly remove the braces and walk around slowly. I saw her face light up and she said, “Oh my gosh. It feels a lot better! I mean, there’s a little bit of pain but I can actually walk!” I said let me know how you feel tonight and tomorrow and what the doctor say about it if you need to get surgery or not.
3 days later, I got a text tonight from her saying her knees are fine and her ligaments aren’t torn. The doctor was so surprised to find no tearing and she doesn’t need to get any surgery. Praise GOD!!!
Sometimes we might not receive the answer or the healing right away but we can count on God that even before we bring those request He already knows what’s up and He’s working all things in His perfect timing. We just have to pray and believe that He can and He is able to heal people for His glory! Ah. God is so good and so faithful!
