This morning, before I got up on the stage to co-lead worship with my pastor, I dived deep into His word. I needed it so badly that His spirit led me to this verse. And just exactly what I needed to read.

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trust in You.
Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock.

- Isaiah 26:3-4

I’m guilty for not keeping my eyes, my heart and my mind on God.

I’m guilty for not trusting Jesus in all areas of my life.

I’m guilty for not standing on the everlasting Rock.

But you know what, in spite of who I am, and in spite of all the junk in my life,

I praise Him still because He remains faithful when I’m faithless.

He remains forever loving, when I’m unloving towards Him.

I praise Him because He gives me peace, grace and love through His son Jesus Christ.

And because of this truth, His word, I can claim this promise that He gives me peace whenever I need it, and if I keep my focus on Him.

That I can trust Him with everything that’s going on around my life. That I can give Him all my affections, my worries, my insecurities. And everything that I try to be, when I know I’m not, HE IS.

He fulfills my every desire, every broken part of me. He is so good. I don’t deserve Him and that’s why I praise Him, because He deserves it. And He deserves every fiber of my being, to bring glory and honor to Him.
