Can I brag about my God? Can I brag about my day how it was a Spirit-filled, Mind-blowing experience?

So today, I got my last paycheck at my seasonal Ice Rink job. As soon as I got it, I talked to Him and this how our convo went down:

Me: God, I got paid today. Once again, thanks for blessing me financially. Now what should I do next?

God: Feed someone.

Me: Really? like, just feed someone today? okay.

God: Yeah, I blessed you that money, so it’s time for you to bless someone. You said you love me right? Go share the love.

As I was walking around downtown of San Francisco, I kept praying to God to lead me to that person that he wanted me to bless. Sure enough, I stumble upon an elderly homeless couple. I humbly approached them if they have eaten yet, they said no, so I offered to buy them lunch and we went to subway.

After getting our food, we sat down, prayed and I just talked to them. Asked them their names, where they were from, how old were they, how they became homeless etc. I can’t help but just feel the brokenness from them voices, & I was trying my best to hold myself together and not let any tears flow out from my eyes.

During this time, a lot of people came in to the store, and saw me talking to these homeless couples. One particular guy kept looking at us while he was standing in line to get food, and he was looking at my ‘Church History’ book. So I decided to let him read it since he was really looking at it. In the back of my head I said, ‘I’m gonna talk to this guy after I talk to these couple.

After that meal, I encouraged them that to trust God and never loose their faith, I told them,

”.. Life is tough, but always remember, God is still and always good”

I gave them my number and I told them to call me if they need anything.. ANYTHING. I prayed for them again, and they left.

Before I left the store (subway) I approached that guy who borrowed my book and asked him if he had any questions about the book. Turns out he can’t speak English that well, & he’s a new christian and he said he wants to learn more about Christianity and how to be a better follower of God. It’s tough for him because he’s the only christian in his family, But when he saw me talking to the homeless & praying for them, he said God just answered his prayer and he sorta’ got an idea how to start becoming a better follower.

Again, I prayed for this guy and his faith that God would just challenged him and strengthen him everyday.

This post isn’t about bragging about myself and how holy I was today, but this simply just a reminder for all of us how everyday there’s people out there that are waiting for God, and people like us, as Christians, we are His Hands and Feet. We need to always deny our personal desires and agendas and make ourselves available to God’s calling, EVERYDAY. So that we can bless people. Whether big or small it doesn’t matter. God get’s the glory, not you or me.

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. - James 1:22

Interesting how this was the verse I read before I started my ‘day’ pretty prophetic.
